Wet Utility Infrastructure Project ManagerLocation: North Coast, EgyptJob SummaryThe Wet Utility Infrastructure Project Manager is responsible for planning, coordinating, executing, and delivering wet utility infrastructure projects, including water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, irrigation, and firefighting networks. The role ensures that projects are completed safely, on schedule, within budget, and in compliance with contract requirements, quality standards, and regulatory requirements. The Project Manager is also responsible for coordinating with other engineering disciplines, managing subcontractors, and ensuring the seamless integration of all infrastructure works.Key Responsibilities1. Project ManagementLead and manage wet utility infrastructure projects from project initiation through commissioning and final handover.Review and approve Project Execution Plans (PEP), Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), resource allocation plans, procurement schedules, risk management plans, and project baseline schedules to ensure alignment with project objectives, contractual requirements, client expectations, and available resources.Review project schedules prepared by the planning team and ensure they are realistic, achievable, and aligned with project milestones.Monitor project progress against the approved baseline schedule and implement recovery plans when delays occur.Monitor project milestones, critical paths, productivity, and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).Ensure project delivery within the approved schedule, budget, quality, and safety objectives.Review and approve monthly progress reports, recovery schedules, and project forecasts.Chair internal project review meetings and ensure timely resolution of project issues.2. Planning & SchedulingReview and approve engineering, procurement, construction, testing, commissioning, and handover schedules.Coordinate construction sequencing with all engineering disciplines to avoid interface conflicts.Monitor schedule performance, identify critical delays, and direct corrective actions.Ensure look-ahead schedules are prepared and coordinated with site teams, subcontractors, suppliers, and consultants.Participate in planning meetings and ensure all stakeholders remain aligned with project milestones.3. Multi-Discipline CoordinationCoordinate wet utility works with roads, highways, electrical networks, street lighting, telecommunications, landscaping, structural works, and other infrastructure disciplines.Resolve interface conflicts between utility works and other construction activities.Lead multidisciplinary coordination meetings to ensure efficient project execution.Ensure all utility installations are coordinated with existing and proposed infrastructure while minimizing construction conflicts.4. Contract & Commercial ManagementManage contractual obligations, official correspondence, and contractual compliance.Review and approve variation orders, claims, Extension of Time (EOT) requests, and commercial submissions.Monitor project costs, budgets, cash flow, commitments, and cost forecasts.Coordinate procurement activities for long-lead materials, equipment, and subcontractors.Support commercial negotiations and contract administration.5. Stakeholder ManagementAct as the primary point of contact with clients, consultants, utility authorities, contractors, subcontractors, and government agencies.Conduct regular progress meetings and coordination workshops.Present project status reports, dashboards, and executive summaries to senior management and clients.Build and maintain effective relationships with all project stakeholders to facilitate timely decision-making.6. Subcontractor & Contractor ManagementLead, supervise, and evaluate subcontractors throughout project execution.Coordinate multiple contractors working simultaneously within the project.Monitor subcontractor productivity, quality, safety performance, and contractual compliance.Ensure subcontractors comply with approved schedules, specifications, project procedures, and HSE requirements.Resolve construction conflicts, interface issues, and resource constraints between contractors.Ensure subcontractors achieve project milestones while maintaining the required quality standards. Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related engineering discipline.• PMP Certification is preferred.• Professional Engineering registration is an advantage.________________________________________Experience• 10–15 years of experience in infrastructure construction projects.• Minimum 5 years of experience managing wet utility infrastructure projects.• Proven experience in water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, irrigation, and firefighting networks.• Experience coordinating multidisciplinary infrastructure projects.• Experience managing subcontractors, suppliers, and multiple contractors on large EPC or infrastructure projects.________________________________________Knowledge Requirements• Wet utility infrastructure design and construction.• Water supply, sewerage, stormwater drainage, irrigation, and firefighting systems.• Infrastructure coordination with roads, electrical, telecommunications, structural, and landscape works.• Contract management, claims, variation orders, and Extension of Time (EOT) procedures.• International engineering standards, construction specifications, and utility authority requirements.________________________________________Personal Attributes• Strong leadership and team management skills.• Outstanding communication and stakeholder management skills.• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.• Strong analytical, negotiation, and conflict-resolution skills.• Results-oriented with a strong commitment to quality, safety, and project excellence.
