Egypt is a regional pharmaceutical manufacturing hub with more than 150 licensed pharma companies and a mix of multinational subsidiaries and large local manufacturers. On the multinational side, GSK, Pfizer, Sanofi, Novartis, Roche, MSD, and Bayer all run significant Egyptian operations — most with manufacturing plants, all with commercial and medical-affairs teams headquartered in Cairo. The local manufacturing cohort is led by EVA Pharma, EIPICO, Amoun Pharmaceutical, Delta Pharma, Sigma Pharmaceutical, and Global Napi — collectively supplying the domestic market and increasingly exporting across Africa and MENA. Roles span medical-representative sales, regulatory affairs, pharmacovigilance, quality assurance, production engineering, and commercial marketing. Structured graduate schemes are common at multinationals (Novartis, Sanofi, GSK) and increasingly at the largest local employers.
