Eligibility is current undergraduates entering their 3rd or 4th year and fresh graduates with up to one year of experience. Degree fit varies by track: mechanical engineering for mechanical and rolling-stock; electrical and electronics engineering for electrical; mechatronics or industrial for maintenance engineering; and a mix of disciplines for the centralised control track. The hiring team also weights coursework or projects involving rotating machinery, signalling systems, or large-scale transport infrastructure.
What you'll work on depends on the host team. Maintenance engineering interns typically support preventive-maintenance planning on metro rolling stock, electrical-engineering interns get exposure to traction power and signalling sub-systems, and rolling-stock interns work on overhaul and reliability projects. Centralised control engineering interns sit alongside operations and learn how the entire network is dispatched and monitored.
