Borg El Arab is Alexandria Governorate's largest industrial city, positioned on the Alexandria–Cairo desert road roughly 45 km west of central Alexandria. The city hosts the industrial plants of a broad cross-section of multinational and Egyptian manufacturers — Coca-Cola HBC, PepsiCo, Nestlé, Henkel, EVA Pharma, and several pharma + FMCG operations all run plants in Borg El Arab's industrial zone. Borg El Arab International Airport is the region's alternative to Alexandria's Nouzha airport and hosts airline, ground-handling, and cargo employers. Roles concentrate around production and process engineering, plant operations, quality assurance, supply chain, and airport operations. Commuting is dominated by employer-run shuttles from central Alexandria and 6th of October / Cairo.
