Job SummaryWe are seeking a detail-oriented and experienced Accountant to manage day-to-day accounting, taxation, import/export documentation, and statutory compliance for our Egypt operations. The ideal candidate should have strong knowledge of Egyptian accounting and tax regulations, along with experience in import/export and logistics-related financial processes.Key ResponsibilitiesAccounting & FinanceMaintain day-to-day accounting records, including sales, purchases, receipts, payments, expenses, and journal entries.Prepare bank, supplier, customer, and intercompany reconciliations.Manage accounts payable and receivable, monitor collections, and assist in monthly and year-end financial closing.Prepare financial reports and maintain accurate accounting records.Import, Export & Shipping AccountingReview and maintain import/export and shipping documents, including commercial invoices, packing lists, bills of lading, airway bills, customs declarations, and related documents.Coordinate with logistics teams, freight forwarders, customs brokers, and clearing agents to ensure timely shipment processing.Record and verify landed costs, including product cost, freight, customs duties, clearance charges, insurance, and other logistics expenses.Maintain shipment-wise costing and ensure proper accounting of import/export transactions.Ensure compliance with Egyptian import/export regulations and documentation requirements.Taxation & CompliancePrepare and support VAT, withholding tax, income tax, and corporate tax filings in accordance with Egyptian regulations.Ensure timely payment of statutory obligations and maintain tax records.Coordinate with auditors, tax consultants, banks, and government authorities during audits and compliance reviews.Qualifications & ExperienceBachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce, or a related field.3–5 years of accounting experience, preferably in trading, import/export, logistics, or distribution companies.Strong knowledge of Egyptian accounting standards, VAT, withholding tax, income tax, and corporate tax.Experience with import/export procedures, customs documentation, and shipment costing.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP/accounting software.Good communication skills in English; Arabic is an advantage.Key SkillsFinancial accounting and reconciliationsImport/export and shipping accountingTaxation and statutory complianceERP systems and Microsoft ExcelAnalytical, organizational, and communication skillsAttention to detail and ability to meet deadlinesKey Performance Indicators (KPIs)Timely and accurate accounting entries and reconciliations.Accurate recording of import/export and shipment costs.Timely tax filings and statutory compliance.Proper management of shipping and customs documentation.Audit-ready financial records and compliance with company policies.
