The team values thoughtful discourse, cultural exchange, and high editorial standards.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Administrative Assistant role based in Cairo, Egypt. The Administrative Assistant will manage daily office operations, including scheduling appointments, organizing meetings, and maintaining calendars for team members and executives. Responsibilities include handling incoming calls and emails, greeting visitors, preparing and filing documents, and maintaining physical and digital records. The role will also involve supporting executive-level tasks, such as preparing reports, arranging travel, and coordinating internal and external communications. The Administrative Assistant will work closely with editorial and management teams to ensure efficient workflows, timely follow-up on tasks, and smooth coordination between departments.Qualifications Strong administrative assistance skills, including scheduling, organizing meetings, and managing office workflows.Professional phone etiquette and communication skills for handling calls, emails, and in-person inquiries.Experience with executive administrative assistance, such as calendar management, travel coordination, and meeting preparation.Solid clerical skills, including document preparation, data entry, filing, and record management.Proficiency with common office software (e.g., word processing, spreadsheets, email, and calendar tools).Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic; proficiency in English is highly preferred.Strong attention to detail, time management, and ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.Ability to work collaboratively with diverse teams and maintain a professional, respectful demeanor with all stakeholders.Previous experience in publishing, media, or a cultural organization is an advantage.Post-secondary education in administration, humanities, or a related field is preferred but equivalent experience will be considered.
