Job SummaryAs Assistant Manager for Cash Management Operations based in New Cairo, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring full compliance with all group and local regulations within the country's cash management teams. This role drives operational excellence through adherence to policies, effective cost management, and revenue optimization.You will lead initiatives aimed at developing and enhancing payment service products, positioning the processing centre not only as an operational function but as a key revenue generator. Your strategic focus will include close monitoring of service costs and observations for operational efficiencies to meet budget targets effectively.Your business acumen will help in eliminating revenue leakage by implementing rigorous control measures over payment instructions and tariff application. You will foster high-quality service standards, build strong internal partnerships, and act as a trusted advisor to corporate clients concerning efficient transfer mechanisms, especially for exchange-controlled regions.You will also embody the core values of Standard Chartered by collaborating with your peers to complete projects and contribute actively as a stakeholder, all while upholding our commitment to integrity and operational excellence.Key ResponsibilitiesAuthorise a range of transactional activities including cash, cheques, drafts, and transfers efficiently and accurately.Oversee daily payment monitoring on Global Banking Services platforms, ensuring full reconciliation and no pending transactions remain unresolved.Manage internal account reconciliations by monitoring escalations closely and ensuring correction entries are implemented promptly to maintain financial accuracy.Manage the reconciliation of Nostro and suspense accounts, striving to minimise unreconciled items through diligent daily reviews and escalation procedures.Maintain strict adherence to agreed service level agreements by ensuring timely processing of all transactions and effective resolution of customer enquiries and complaints.Be fully versed in all relevant policies and procedures relating to Cash Management Operations and products, continuously updating knowledge to adhere to the Group’s policies.Act as custodian for bank keys, secured stationeries, and bulk stock as required, ensuring security protocols are maintained at all times.Support system testing activities including User Acceptance Testing (UAT) and User Validation Testing (UVT) for systems under Cash Management Operations such as cash area, remittance, and clearing platforms.Ensure authenticity and compliance in processing payment instructions following remittance guidelines meticulously.Provide backup supervisory support to ensure uninterrupted operations across all supervisory desks within CMO.To be successful in this role, you will demonstrate strong expertise in managing operational risks, conducting payments-processing activities with precision, and leading teams effectively to maintain high operational standards. You will be accountable for maintaining the integrity and security of cash management practices, ensuring that all procedures comply with financial crime prevention standards and internal governance.You will also engage in continuous stakeholder engagement, delivering advisory support to clients and promoting collaborative problem-solving within cross-functional teams.
