Assistant Manager, Transportation PlannerPOSITION SNAPSHOTLocation: Cairo, EgyptCompany: Nestlé EgyptFull-timePosition SummaryDrive distribution planning across MENA countries ( UAE, Egypt, Jordan, Morocco, KSA, and Lebanon) through the automated route planning tool. Deliver best service to customers through efficient transportation load and ensure on time delivery at the most optimized cost. Generate transportation reporting for countries in scope driving analysis to support business decisions towards an optimized distribution network. Ensure continuous operational alignment with the SC team in the countries to drive sustainable distribution by minimizing waste and reduce environmental impact.A DAY IN THE LIFE …Measure and monitor CO2 emissions across operations.Lead initiatives aimed at reducing Nestlé’s carbon footprint, with a focus on lowering fuel consumption through optimized logistics and energy‑efficient practices.Ensure daily optimized delivery plans for all countries in scope using automated route‑planning tools.Analyze distribution and delivery performance data to support informed business decisions.Enhance customer service levels by ensuring on‑time delivery and maintaining high operational quality standards.Identify root causes of damages and refusals and drive corrective actions to improve delivery reliability.Lead and implement cost‑reduction initiatives to improve overall delivery costs.Drive load optimization across the distribution network using data‑driven insights and develop action plans accordingly.Support continuous enhancement of the route‑planning tool (LOCUS) and SAP upgrades to ensure a fully automated, efficient process.Conduct monthly supplier performance evaluations to support operational decision‑making across markets.Provide real‑time visibility of supplier performance through technology solutions such as track‑and‑trace systems.Ensure accurate data capture to monitor and improve service levels delivered by distribution partners.What Will Make You Successful… Bachelor Degree preferably in Supply Chain (Logistics, Procurement, Planning, MRP etc.) or Engineering or Finance.1-3 years of supply chain experience, preferably in logistics.Interested and Experienced in: Transportation, Warehousing or SC experience Proficiency in supply chain management software (ex: SAP) High level of data analytics and reporting Enthusiast in Digitalization and Automation Comfortable in dealing with complex and ambiguous scenarios Collaborating with others to achieve goalsGood communication skillsAnalytical thinking skills.
