Role Description This is a full-time hybrid role for a Backend Tech Lead based in New Cairo, with the flexibility of partial work-from-home options. The Backend Tech Lead will manage backend development projects, ensure system architecture is scalable, and lead a team of developers to deliver high-quality solutions. Responsibilities include designing, implementing, and optimizing APIs, collaborating with front-end developers, recognizing and resolving performance bottlenecks, and ensuring the robustness of backend systems. Qualifications Strong expertise in backend languages such as Python, Java, or Node.jsProven experience in database management (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, or MongoDB)Familiarity with API design and microservices architectureKnowledge of CI/CD pipelines, cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud), and containerized systems (e.g., Docker or Kubernetes)Excellent leadership and team management skills with the ability to collaborate across diverse teamsUnderstanding of cybersecurity practices for ensuring secure system architecturesBachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field is preferredPrevious experience in the retail or e-commerce industry is a plus
