DescriptionJob Purpose:To participate in minimizing Business Banking fraud by properly implementing the anti-fraud identification process to support the business growth while maintaining the portfolio quality and protecting the business from actual losses occurring from fraud in alignment with the bank's policy.Job Description:1. Implement the fraud identification process to capture suspected fraudulent transactions and documents to minimize fraud and have a high quality asset portfolio.2. Apply the BB Fraud Detection System transactions checking to trigger alerts for investigation in conjunction with IT and Data Office to pinpoint truly fraud cases.3. Review and approve business banking existing borrowing customers’ daily transactions (drawdown and disbursement) within the approved turn-around time to ensure abidance to agreed SLAs & enhance customer experience.4. Validate documents that are channelled from stakeholders with issuing parties to ensure no forged documents exist in the company`s files.5. Detect & highlight all suspected cases from transaction & documentation perspective for further investigation and conduct external visits/verifications upon necessity (to borrower, supplier, buyer, auditor, etc…) to validate fraud allegations.6. Prepare inspection reports related to suspicious cases after conducting the necessary checks & validations and include all necessary data, that are needed to decide the customer strategy from fraud perspective.7. Apply the determined sampling methodology to drag the highly potential fraud cases (transaction & documents) to detect real fraud cases.8. Update the fraud database with companies, individuals, auditors, and other parties who were involved in any fraudulent acts to avoid re-dealing with those parties as part of the fraud prevention process. 9. Highlight fraud areas, processes loopholes & propose new controls based on raised threats, that will yield the best techniques to prevent the fraud at earlier stages.10. Update the daily logs with the performed tasks (transactions & Documents) & fraud cases in a timely and efficient manner to keep a reliable data to enhance the decision making process.11. Prepare and deliver the daily, weekly, monthly and quarterly MIS to provide insights for management & stakeholders on a timely, efficient & informative manner that used in assessing the portfolio fraud triggers to keep the fraud losses within the bank appetite.12. Handle incoming inquiries, requests from other banks related to suspicious cases with no violation to the bank`s policy to keep the reciprocal professional relationship.13. Respond to all inquiries and requests from our stakeholders related to any company, auditor & individual included in our negative lists to maintain the smooth workflow.Policies, Processes and Procedures14. Follow all relevant department policies, processes, standard operating procedures and instructions so that work is carried out in a controlled and consistent mannerDay- to-day operations 15. Follow the day-to-day operations related to own jobs in the Fraud Management department to ensure continuity of workCompliance16. Comply with all relevant CBE regulations, banking laws, AML regulations and internal CIB policies and code of conduct in order to maintain CIB’s sound legal position and mitigate any potential risks. QualificationsQualifications & Experience: Bachelor’s degree of commerce, Business Administration, accounting or equivalent. Senior Officer: 5 – 7 years of experience in banking (fraud, risk, credit, operations) Officer: 3 – 5 years of experience in banking (fraud, risk, credit, operations) Credit Certificate is a plus. Data and Cyber Security Knowledge is required. Skills Very good command of English and Arabic languages. Analytical skills. Street smart with good analytical skills Process driven Technology oriented
