Job Summary / Purpose:-Manage the procurement process of medical equipment from identifying needs through sourcing and delivery, ensuring quality, cost efficiency, and compliance with required medical specifications.Ensure the availability of spare parts required for medical equipment maintenance and manage maintenance activities in coordination with vendors and engineers to maintain efficient equipment operation.Key Accountabilities:-Coordinate with various departments to identify their requirements for medical equipment, maintenance services, and spare parts.Create new item codes and reactivate inactive codes within the system.Source and identify approved suppliers for medical equipment and spare parts.Prepare and issue Requests for Quotation (RFQs) and evaluate supplier offers based on price, quality, and technical compliance.Negotiate with suppliers to secure the best commercial terms and pricing.Prepare purchase orders and follow up on the approval process.Monitor the procurement cycle to ensure timely delivery and receipt of goods, and update all related transactions on the system.Coordinate with the Biomedical Engineering team regarding equipment repair and maintenance activities.Liaise with the Warehouse team during the receipt and inspection of medical equipment and spare parts.Maintain supplier records and conduct periodic supplier performance evaluations.Monitor equipment warranties, service agreements, and preventive maintenance contracts.Manage tendering processes for medical equipment, including tender preparation, issuance, collection of quotations, and review of required tender documentation.Review and resolve supplier invoice discrepancies in coordination with suppliers, warehouses, and the Finance Department, ensuring timely resolution of billing and outstanding payment issues.Requirements:-Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, such as Biomedical Engineering, Business Administration, Commerce, or a related discipline.1–3 years of experience in biomedical operations.Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and ERP systems.
