Role DescriptionWe are seeking a dedicated Cardiothoracic Surgery Nurse for a full-time, on-site role at As-Salam International Hospital located in Fifth, WV. Responsibilities include providing preoperative, intraoperative, and postoperative care to cardiothoracic surgery patients. The nurse will assist in surgical procedures, monitor patients' vital signs, manage wound care, and ensure proper documentation. Additionally, the role involves educating patients and their families about post-surgery care, working collaboratively with surgeons and staff to maintain a safe environment, and adhering to established safety and medical protocols. QualificationsExperience in surgical nursing, critical care, or cardiothoracic nursing, with the ability to assist during surgical procedures.Proficiency in monitoring patient vitals, managing medical equipment, and administering medications.Strong communication, problem-solving, and patient education skills.Commitment to maintaining compliance with healthcare safety standards and protocols.Registered Nurse (RN) license and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) or equivalent qualification.Previous experience in a cardiothoracic surgical unit is preferred.Certifications in Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) or Basic Life Support (BLS) are an advantage.
