Category Associate Manager

ROLE PROFILECreate and implement sourcing strategies in line with business goals, policies, and legal requirements.Manage sourcing activities for new projects, ensuring milestones and development timelines are achievedContribute to the strategic roadmap and annual budgeting in collaboration with the Category Lead.Work with cross-functional teams to gather requirements, analyze demand, and develop sourcing strategies for complex processes.Implement procurement strategies, coordinate requisitions, and manage order issuance with the Category Lead.Drive cost reduction initiatives by analyzing spend data, supplier offers, and total cost of ownership (TCO).Manage supplier relationships and performance (KPIs/SLAs), while contributing to continuous improvement of procurement processes and governance.Work closely with the Category Lead and cross-functional teams to align sourcing initiatives with overall category plans and business objectives.RequirementsStrong experience in procurement sourcing and full RFx process oversight, with solid understanding of best-in-class procurement practices and contract management.Hands-on experience with SAP Ariba, e-RFx platforms, and other procurement/contract management systems.Strong analytical, problem-solving, planning, and organizational skills with the ability to prioritize effectively.Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong influencing, partnering, and negotiation capabilities.Good understanding of contract terms, laws, and regulations, with the ability to assess legal and business risks in contractual decisions.Minimum 3 years in a similar senior procurement role, bachelor’s degree in a relevant field, preferably with MCIPS (or equivalent), and proficiency in English (Arabic is a plus).What We OfferAt Majid Al Futtaim, we’re on a mission to create great moments, to spread happiness, to build, experiences that stay in our memories for a lifetime.
