Objectives of This Role:To oversee and manage the company's accounting operations, ensuring the accuracy, integrity, and timeliness of financial records, reporting, reconciliations, and statutory compliance. The role is responsible for maintaining sound accounting practices, supporting financial planning and budgeting activities, coordinating audits and tax matters, and providing reliable financial information to support management decision-making.Responsibilities & Duties:• Manage and oversee the day-to-day accounting operations, including General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Bank Reconciliations.• Ensure the integrity, accuracy, and completeness of financial records and accounting transactions.• Prepare and review monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statements in accordance with applicable accounting standards and company policies.• Perform month-end and year-end closing activities, including journal entries, accruals, provisions, and account reconciliations.• Monitor and analyze financial transactions to ensure proper recording and classification.• Assist in the preparation of annual budgets and periodic forecasts, and monitor budget performance against actual results.• Prepare financial reports, schedules, and analyses for management review and decision-making.• Review customer collections, aging reports, and outstanding balances, ensuring proper follow-up and accurate financial reporting.• Review vendor payments and ensure compliance with approved policies and procedures.• Coordinate and support internal and external audits by preparing schedules, reconciliations, and required documentation.• Ensure compliance with tax regulations and supervise the preparation, submission, and reconciliation of all tax filings.• Maintain regular communication with tax authorities and support the resolution of tax-related matters.• Supervise bank reconciliations and monitor cash transactions to ensure accuracy and proper control.• Review accounting procedures and internal controls, recommending improvements to enhance efficiency and compliance.• Provide guidance, training, and support to accounting team members to ensure high performance and professional development.• Ensure compliance with company policies, accounting standards, statutory requirements, and regulatory obligations.• Support ERP system enhancements and accounting process automation initiatives.• Perform any other accounting-related duties assigned by management. Job RequirementsEducation & Qualifications• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, Commerce.• Strong knowledge of IFRS, Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS), and applicable tax regulations.Professional Certifications:· Certified Management Accountant (CMA) certification from the Institute of Management Accountants (IMA) is required.· ACCA Diploma in International Financial Reporting (DipIFR) is required.· CFI’s Financial Modeling & Valuation Analyst (FMVA®) certification is considered an added advantage.Experience:• 10-15 years of progressive accounting experience.• Minimum 03–05 years of experience in a supervisory or Chief Accountant role.• Previous experience within Real Estate Development, Construction, or Investment companies is highly preferred.• Proven experience in financial reporting, budgeting, taxation, audit coordination, and financial controls.• Experience in managing month-end and year-end closing processes.• Hands-on experience dealing with external auditors, tax authorities, and regulatory bodies.Technical Skills:• Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as Odoo, double click, Microsoft Dynamics 365, or similar accounting systems.• Strong understanding of General Ledger, Accounts Receivable, Accounts Payable, Fixed Assets, and Treasury functions.• Excellent financial reporting, budgeting, and variance analysis skills.• Strong knowledge of tax compliance, VAT, withholding tax, and statutory reporting requirements.• Ability to develop and implement accounting policies, procedures, and internal controls.Behavioral Competencies:• Strong leadership and team management skills.• High level of integrity, confidentiality, and professional ethics.• Excellent analytical and problem-solving abilities.• Strong communication and presentation skills.• Ability to work under pressure and meet strict deadlines.• Strong attention to detail and commitment to accuracy.• Effective planning, organization, and time management skills.• Ability to support decision-making through financial insights and recommendations.
