About The JobThe Senior Credit Analyst – SME plays a pivotal role in evaluating and processing credit applications for small and medium enterprises, ensuring sound credit decisions that balance growth with risk. The role requires a high level of financial acumen and analytical rigor to assess creditworthiness, prepare professional credit reports, and provide structured recommendations. The Senior Credit Analyst also acts as a quality anchor within the team, guiding junior analysts and coordinating cross-functionally with Sales, Risk, Operations, and Compliance to deliver credit solutions that align with MNT-Halan's portfolio objectives and regulatory standards.Job Responsibilities & Duties Review and analyze SME credit applications, including financial statements, cash flow analysis, and bank statements, to determine creditworthiness. Prepare financial spreadsheets and financial projections with a high level of accuracy and professionalism, ensuring data integrity throughout the analysis process. Conduct comprehensive assessments of clients' financial, operational, and managerial aspects to evaluate creditworthiness and identify potential risk factors. Prepare professional credit memos and risk assessment reports supported by clear, well-structured, and actionable recommendations. Assess collateral submitted by clients and coordinate with relevant departments regarding valuation and verification processes. Identify and correlate positive and negative risk indicators, escalating concerns in line with internal credit policies and risk appetite. Act as a quality checkpoint for credit files, ensuring all analyses meet internal standards before submission for approval. Coordinate with Sales, Operations, Risk, and Compliance teams to ensure an efficient workflow and adherence to agreed turnaround times. Communicate credit decisions and supporting rationale clearly to relevant stakeholders across functions. Conduct routine checks to identify and report data quality issues, supporting resolution and continuous improvement efforts.Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration, Economics, or a related field. 3–5 years of hands-on experience in SME credit analysis or related credit/risk functions. Previous experience within a bank or financial institution is strongly preferred. Strong knowledge of financial analysis, business evaluation, and credit risk assessment. Completion of a Credit Course is a must. Strong analytical skills with the ability to correlate positive and negative indicators based on the latest evaluation findings. Excellent report writing and credit memo preparation skills. High attention to detail with strong organizational and time management abilities. Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, especially Excel. Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines efficiently.
