Sales Lead / Commercial LeadLocation: Cairo, Egypt (Hybrid / Full-time)Company: WeLendAt WeLend, we’re building the all-in-one platform for SME finance in MENA.We partner with financial institutions to help them deploy financing products to SMEs more efficiently, while giving businesses access to the financing they need — faster, simpler, and in one place.As we continue to grow, we’re looking for a Sales Lead / Commercial Lead to own the full client communication cycle — from first touchpoint to activation and beyond.If you love building relationships, closing deals, and guiding clients through the full journey in a fast-moving startup environment, we’d love to talk.What you’ll do* Own the end-to-end commercial relationship with SME clients* Handle the full cycle from: * Lead engagement / first outreach * Needs understanding & qualification * Explaining financing solutions clearly * Following up and moving deals forward * Supporting the client through application and onboarding * Coordinating internally with credit and operations until activation/disbursement* Build strong trust-based relationships with business owners and decision makers* Understand each client’s financing needs and match them with the right solutions* Keep momentum across the pipeline and ensure no qualified lead is dropped* Work closely with the credit, operations, and product teams to improve conversion and client experience* Track pipeline progress, follow-up discipline, and conversion performance* Help shape and improve WeLend’s sales process as we scaleWho we’re looking for* 3+ years of experience in sales, business development, account management, or relationship management* Strong experience in B2B / SME-facing roles* Comfortable owning a client conversation from first call to close* Excellent communication and relationship-building skills* Highly organized and strong on follow-up* Commercially sharp, proactive, and able to push opportunities forward* Comfortable in a startup environment: hands-on, fast-moving, and adaptable* Fluent in Arabic and EnglishBig plus if you have experience in* SME lending / fintech* Banking / non-banking financial institutions* Payments / POS / ERP / logistics / e-commerce services for SMEs* Financial products that require consultative sellingWhat success looks like in this role* More qualified SMEs moving smoothly through the funnel* Higher conversion from first contact to activated client* Strong client experience across the full journey* Better coordination between commercial, credit, and operations* A stronger and more scalable sales engine for WeLendWhy join WeLend* Be part of a mission-driven fintech solving a massive SME financing gap in MENA* Work directly on a product that creates real impact for growing businesses* Join a fast-growing team at an exciting stage* Help build the commercial engine of a company shaping the future of SME finance
