Contracts Section HeadLocation:New Cairo, EgyptJob SummaryWe are seeking an experienced Contracts Section Head to lead the contracts function across construction projects. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing contract administration, managing contractual risks, ensuring compliance with project and company requirements, and supporting commercial objectives throughout the project lifecycle.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage all contract management and administration activities.Review, draft, negotiate, and finalize contracts, subcontracts, and agreements.Ensure contractual compliance with company policies, client requirements, and applicable regulations.Identify, assess, and mitigate contractual risks.Provide contractual advice and support to project, commercial, procurement, and management teams.Manage claims, variations, extensions of time (EOT), disputes, and contract negotiations.Monitor contract performance and ensure proper documentation and record keeping.Coordinate with legal advisors on contractual matters when required.Develop and implement contract management procedures and best practices.Lead and mentor the contracts team to ensure effective performance and professional development.RequirementsBachelor's degree in Civil Engineering, Construction Management, Quantity Surveying, Law, or a related field.12+ years of experience in contract management within the construction industry.Proven experience in a leadership role managing contracts for large-scale construction projects.Strong knowledge of contract administration principles and industry-standard contract forms (FIDIC preferred).Experience in claims management, dispute resolution, and commercial negotiations.Excellent analytical, negotiation, and communication skills.Strong leadership and stakeholder management abilities.Key SkillsContract AdministrationFIDIC ContractsClaims & Dispute ResolutionCommercial ManagementRisk ManagementContract NegotiationStakeholder ManagementTeam LeadershipConstruction ContractsChange & Variation ManagementPreferredExperience in the GCC construction market.Professional certifications related to contracts, commercial management, or project management are an advantage.Industry: Construction / EngineeringEmployment Type: Full-TimeSeniority Level: Department Head / Management Level
