Role Purpose The Deputy Finance Manager is responsible for supporting the Finance Manager in leading and overseeing the organization's financial operations, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial reporting, regulatory compliance, budgeting, treasury, and accounting activities.Duties And Responsibilities Review and approve journal entries, reconciliations, and month-end/year-end closing activities. Ensure compliance with tax regulations (VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax) and coordinate with external auditors and tax authorities. Support internal controls implementation and identify areas for process improvement. Assist in preparing management reports, financial models, and investment analyses to support decision-making. Supervise and mentor junior finance and accounting staff. Liaise with banks, auditors, and regulatory bodies as required. Deputize for the Finance Manager in meetings, reviews, and approvals when unavailable. Support ERP/financial system implementation and improvements.Knowledge, Skills And Abilities Egyptian Accounting Standards (EAS) and International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) Egyptian tax law (VAT, corporate income tax, withholding tax, e-invoicing requirements) Budgeting, forecasting, and financial planning principles Cash flow and working capital management Internal control frameworks and audit processes Banking procedures and treasury operations Proficiency in Microsoft Excel (financial modeling, pivot tables, formulas) Financial statement preparation and consolidation Variance analysis and cost control Team supervision and performance management Time management and ability to meet strict reporting deadlines Ability to identify financial risks and propose mitigation strategies Ability to make sound decisions independently and deputize effectively for senior management Ability to adapt to evolving regulatory and business requirements.Requirements / Certifications Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, or a related field (Master's degree or MBA is a plus). Professional certification such as CMA, CFA, or partial/full progress toward CPA is preferred. +10 years of experience in a related job field. Experience in the ICT Industry (Information and Communication Technology) is a plus.
