Position SummaryThe Clinical Operations Director is responsible for the strategic leadership, operational excellence, and commercial growth of our CRO partner. This role oversees global Clinical Operations while actively driving business development initiatives, ensuring high-quality clinical trial delivery, strong client relationships, and sustained organizational growth.Principal Duties and Responsibilities-Clinical Operations Leadership & Oversight-Provide strategic leadership to Clinical Operations across all regions, ensuring quality, compliance, and consistency.-Oversee clinical project delivery in line with ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, SOPs, and client expectations.-Monitor and improve clinical monitoring practices and operational performance.-Conduct gap analyses and implement corrective and preventive actions (CAPAs).-Ensure effective resource planning and allocation.-Support and ensure compliance with the Quality Management System (QMS).-Provide leadership and direction to the Clinical Operations Manager (COM) and teams.Business Development & Growth Strategy-Lead proposal development and bid defense activities.-Represent Clinical Operations in client engagements.-Monitor market trends and provide strategic input to leadership.Client Relationship & Stakeholder Management-Build and maintain strong client and partner relationships.-Ensure high client satisfaction and effective issue resolution.-Act as senior point of contact for key clients.Team Leadership & Capability Development-Foster a culture of quality, accountability, and continuous improvement.-Identify and address training and development needs.-Mentor and develop team members.-Promote cross-functional collaboration.Strategic & Organizational Contribution-Contribute to company strategy and growth initiatives.-Support development of marketing and positioning materials.-Represent the company in internal and external forums.Requirements-Advanced degree in Life Sciences, Pharmacy, Medicine, Business, or related field.-Minimum 10+ years of experience in clinical research, including leadership roles.-Strong knowledge of ICH-GCP, regulatory requirements, and clinical trial processes.-Proven experience in both Clinical Operations and Business Development.-Strong leadership, communication, and client management skills.-Ability to drive strategic growth and operational excellence.Other Qualifications & Skills-Strong presentation and negotiation skills.-Excellent organizational and time management abilities.-High level of professionalism and discretion.-Flexibility to travel.-Results-driven and proactive mindset.
