The Director of Finance will work closely with the Managing Director and department leaders to strengthen financial processes, improve visibility into performance, and ensure the property operates efficiently and sustainably. This position also required presenting financial data and interpretation to the ownership.Key ResponsibilitiesFinancial Oversight & ReportingOversee all accounting functions, including general ledger, accounts payable, payroll, and financial reportingEnsure accuracy and timeliness of monthly, quarterly, and annual financial statementsMaintain strong internal controls and a transparent system of checks and balancesCoordinate and oversee annual audits, tax filings, and regulatory complianceReview and analyze financial performance, identifying trends and areas for improvementBudgeting, Forecasting & AnalysisLead the annual budgeting process and ongoing financial forecastingDevelop and maintain financial models to support operational and strategic decision-makingProvide variance analysis and actionable insights to leadershipSupport department heads in managing budgets and understanding financial performanceEvaluate cost structures and identify opportunities for efficiency and expense controlStrategic & Operational SupportPartner with leadership on long-range planning, capital investments, and business strategySupport financial aspects of construction, renovation, and capital projects, including budgeting, cash flow, and ROI analysisAssist in evaluating new opportunities, partnerships, or operational initiativesProvide financial insight into pricing, labor, and operational decisionsCash Management & BankingOversee cash flow management and forecastingMaintain and strengthen banking and lender relationshipsEnsure appropriate liquidity to support operations and capital needsTeam Leadership & CollaborationProvide oversight and support to the Accounting Manager and the accounting teamFoster a collaborative, accountable, and detail-oriented finance functionWork cross-functionally with operations, HR, and department leadersPromote a culture of financial awareness and accountability across the organizationQualifications**Required Qualifications**Minimum 5-10 years of progressive experience in a Director of Finance or equivalent senior financial leadership role at a large resort or hospitality property within the Middle EastMaster's degree in Finance, Accounting, or Business Administration, or professional certification (CA, CPA, or equivalent)Demonstrated expertise in financial compliance, regulatory requirements, and audit managementProven experience with financial planning, budgeting, and forecasting in a complex operational environmentStrong proficiency in financial systems, accounting software, and data analysis toolsExcellent understanding of internal controls, risk management, and financial governance frameworksDemonstrated ability to lead and develop accounting teams while fostering a culture of accountability and accuracyExceptional analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to translate financial data into actionable business insightsStrong communication and presentation skills, with the ability to effectively present financial information to senior leadership and ownership**Preferred Qualifications**Experience in the hospitality, theme park, or water park industryBackground in managing capital projects, construction budgeting, and ROI analysisExperience with cash flow management and banking relationship developmentKnowledge of property management systems and integrated financial reporting platformsPrior experience supporting strategic planning and long-range financial forecasting initiativesAdditional Informationexperience is an assetPrior experience working with Opera or a related systemStrong interpersonal and problem solving abilitiesFluency in English, additional languages are a plus
