Make it your next move.Hospitality is a work of heart,Join us and become a Heartist®.Job DescriptionDUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIESSupervise Repair & Maintenance and Maintenance & Operation, assuming full responsibilities in the Chief Engineer's absence.Ensure prompt resolution of building, plant, and equipment defects, particularly those affecting guest comfort, and report major breakdowns to the Chief Engineer.Oversee plant operations, including logging essential readings and maintaining adequate supplies of consumables, services, materials, and fuels.Manage engineering staff, including supervision, duty roster preparation, training, and addressing misconduct or grievances.Maintain high cleanliness standards in all areas not under Housekeeping's direct responsibility.Assist in departmental planning, improvement, and budget review.Implement and monitor safety protocols, including fire safety, accident reporting, and equipment safety checks.Coordinate and supervise preventive maintenance, routine maintenance, and energy conservation measures.Manage service requests, ensuring timely completion and follow-up.Oversee outside contracts, including obtaining quotations and supervising work quality.Implement and supervise capital works projects as instructed by the Chief Engineer, maintaining accurate cost records.Ensure availability of spare parts for equipment in the Engineering store.QualificationsCandidate Requirements :Degree or Bachelor in Engineering or related fieldMinimum 2 years' experience in a similar role at 4-star Hotel international brandAt least 2 years previous management experience at International standard brands interpersonal and communication skillsMust have good administration and communication skillsBe fully conversant with all health and safety and hygiene proceduresStrong knowledge of building systems, including HVAC, electrical, plumbing, Kitchen & Laundry equipment, and fire safety systemsProficiency in computer-aided facility management (CAFM) softwareFamiliarity with energy management and sustainability practicesValid certifications in relevant technical areas (e.g., electrical, mechanical, or HVAC)Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and blueprintsStrong problem-solving and analytical skillsGood leadership and team management abilitiesFlexibility to work in shifts, including nights and weekends when requiredIn-depth knowledge of sustainability practices and green building certificationsExperience with project management methodologies and their application in engineering projectsFamiliarity with local building codes and regulations relevant to the hospitality industryProficiency in multiple languages, with English fluency being essentialStrong negotiation skills for effectively managing vendor relationships and contractsAdditional InformationYou will grow so fast because of development chances that will take with cooperated teamOur Commitment To Diversity & InclusionWe are an inclusive company and our ambition is to attract, recruit and promote diverse talent.
