Job Purpose:The District Sales Manager (Gynecology) is responsible for managing and leading sales operations within the assigned Alexandria and Delta district. This role involves overseeing a team of Medical Representatives, ensuring sales targets are met, executing strategies to increase market share, and building strong relationships with healthcare professionals. This position requires a balance of strategic leadership and hands-on sales management to drive sustainable growth and achieve the company’s commercial objectives in the Gynecology line.Key Responsibilities1. Sales & Market Share ManagementTarget Achievement: Achieve the company’s sales objectives, volume targets, and market share growth within the designated district, adhering to agreed budgets and timelines.Strategy Execution: Translate national marketing plans into effective localized sales tactics tailored to the Alexandria and Delta market dynamics.Budget & Expense Control: Manage the district’s assigned budget, including sales expenses, promotional activities, and field allocations, ensuring maximum Return on Investment (ROI).2. Team Leadership, Coaching & Performance ManagementField Coaching: Conduct regular, structured double-visits and field-coaching sessions with Medical Representatives to enhance their scientific knowledge, selling skills, and detailing efficiency.Performance Reviews: Execute routine performance evaluations, provide constructive feedback, and establish clear Personal Development Plans (PDPs) for subordinates.Talent Development: Drive team motivation, identify high-potential representatives for future succession planning, and address performance gaps promptly.3. Territory & Market ManagementMarket Segmentation: Segment the district’s medical accounts, clinics, and hospitals based on commercial potentiality, prescribing patterns, and strategic value.Resource Allocation: Optimize the distribution of field resources, promotional materials, and sampling across territories to maximize coverage and frequency.Business Development: Proactively identify and penetrate untapped business opportunities, new clinics, and key accounts across Alexandria and Delta.4. Key Opinion Leader (KOL) & Stakeholder EngagementRelationship Building: Build and sustain strong, professional relationships with prominent Gynecologists, Key Opinion Leaders (KOLs), health center directors, and major institutional buyers within the district.Scientific Presence: Represent the company at local gynecological conferences, scientific stand-alone meetings, and roundtables to strengthen product positioning.5. Time & Productivity ManagementPrioritization: Maintain a high-value focus by steering the team toward high-potential accounts and high-impact activities.Scheduling & Coverage: Ensure disciplined scheduling, optimal call-rates, and efficient journey planning to minimize administrative downtime and maximize field productivity.Goal Setting: Establish clear, measurable operational objectives for individual territories and monitor daily/weekly execution.6. Compliance, Market Intelligence & ReportingCompliance & Ethics: Ensure all sales, promotional, and field activities within the district strictly comply with company policies, industry regulations, and ethical pharmaceutical standards.Market Intelligence: Monitor and report on market trends, competitor intelligence, pricing strategies, and shifting medical preferences within the Gynecology therapeutic area.Reporting: Prepare and submit accurate, timely data regarding district sales performance, field activity metrics, competitor activities, and strategic forecasts.Job Qualifications & Requirements:EducationRequired: Bachelor’s degree in Pharmacy, Biotechnology, Veterinary Medicine, or Science from a recognized university.ExperiencePharmaceutical Sales: Minimum of 5+ years of overall experience in the Egyptian pharmaceutical sales sector.Leadership Experience: Minimum of 3+ years of proven experience in a managerial or supervisory role (e.g., District Manager, First-Line Manager, or Senior Team Leader).Therapeutic Expertise: Deep, in-depth knowledge of the Gynecology/Women's Healthcare therapeutic area, with an established network of Gynecologists and key accounts across Alexandria and Delta.
