We combine engineering precision with commercial excellence to power progress across complex projects in the region.Position OverviewThe Engineering Manager leads and coordinates all off-site engineering activities for the Zambia Solar PV and BESS program, managing the multi-discipline design review and technical advisory team in Egypt. The role ensures all engineering deliverables, technical reviews, and design audits are executed to the highest quality standards within contractually agreed timeframes.Key ResponsibilitiesLead and manage the full offsite engineering team, including electrical design, civil, structural, and architectural disciplines. Oversee the technical review and compliance audit of all EPC contractor engineering submittals. Ensure all engineering reviews are conducted against applicable codes, standards, and project specifications. Manage the engineering review schedule and ensure technical comments are issued within contractual review periods. Coordinate technical interfaces between electrical, civil, and structural engineering disciplines. Lead the preparation and quality control of Owner's Engineer technical reports, feasibility validations, and engineering audit deliverables. Provide technical escalation support to the on-site team for complex engineering queries. Review and approve engineering deliverables before submission to the Client or onsite team. Coordinate with the Project Controls Lead on engineering progress tracking and reporting. Manage relationships with specialist sub-consultants supporting the engineering program. Support the Project Director in managing technical aspects of contract variations and claims. Participate in project-level technical review meetings with the Client and EPC contractors.Required QualificationsBachelor's degree in Electrical or Civil Engineering; Master's degree preferred. Minimum 15 years of engineering experience; at least 5 years in a senior management role. Demonstrated experience managing engineering teams on utility-scale solar PV and/or energy storage projects. Strong knowledge of EPC design review, technical specifications, and international engineering standards. Experience in Owner's Engineer or PMC roles is highly preferred. Excellent leadership, mentoring, and team management skills. Strong English written and verbal communication.
