📢Title: Environmental Specialist📍 Location: Ain Sokhna, Suez🏭 Business Unit: Saint-Gobain Glass Egypt"As part of our commitment to diversity and inclusion, we encourage women with engineering backgrounds to explore this opportunity and bring their unique strengths to our plant."Job Description:Ensure full compliance with local, national, international environmental regulations and Saint-Gobain STDs.Maintain and update legal records, including Environmental licenses, Waste & Chemical Registers and SDS – annual updates.Conduct environmental & toxicological risk assessments for new/existing operations.Investigate environmental incidents, determine root causes, and implement corrective/preventive actions.Develop and test emergency response plans (e.g., spills, discharges).Lead WCM (World Class Manufacturing) environmental projects to mitigate risks and optimize resource use.Drive sustainability initiatives (waste reduction, energy/water efficiency, emissions control).Prepare Environmental Impact Assessments (EIAs) for new projects.Track and report KPIs (waste, energy, water, emissions) and creating the required reports.Conduct environmental audits & inspections for compliance and analyze data to identify trends and improvement areas.Deliver employee training on environmental policies, hazardous materials, and best practices.Liaise with regulators, auditors, and internal teams (operations, legal, procurement).Stay updated on emerging environmental technologies & industry trends.Implementation of circular economy and lifecycle analysis (LCA).Carbon footprint calculation (GHG Protocol) and decarbonization strategies.Mastery of global frameworks (ISO 14001, ILO standards, etc.).Knowledge of regional regulations (EU’s EHS directives, Egyptian Environmental Law).Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in science with a major in Chemistry or Geology, or in Engineering with a specialization in Chemical Engineering or Petroleum Engineering.ISO 14001 (EMS).LEED, NEBOSH, or equivalent.3+ years in environmental compliance (Heavy industry-specific preferred).Strong knowledge of hazardous waste, chemical safety (SDS), and Env. risk assessment.Proficiency in data analysis and reporting tools.Project execution & stakeholder coordination.Field & office-based (site inspections, audits, and desk analysis).May require occasional travel to project sites.Excellent organizational and motivational skills.
