This role ensures all integration points between internal banking platforms and external vendors are secure, scalable, and compliant with Canadian banking regulations.Team Leadership Manage and mentor a team of Java/Spring integration developers and senior associates. Oversee project planning, estimation, and delivery of integration features. Foster a culture of code quality, best practices, and continuous improvement. Integration Architecture & Design Define and review integration patterns (REST, SOAP, batch, event-driven) using Java/Spring Boot. Lead the design of microservices and API gateways for integration with both internal and external systems. Technical Oversight Guide the team in implementing Spring-based integration solutions (Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Cloud). Oversee the use of Java frameworks for API development, security (OAuth2/JWT), and error handling. Ensure robust CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitHub Actions) for Java/Spring deployments. Oversee code reviews, integration testing (JUnit, Mockito, Postman), and deployment. Maintain comprehensive documentation for all Java/Spring integration flows. Required Skills & Experience 8+ years in Java development, with at least 3 years in integration-focused roles. Deep expertise in Java 11+/17+, Spring Boot, Spring Integration, Spring Cloud, REST/SOAP APIs. Familiarity with CI/CD, containerization (Docker/Kubernetes), and monitoring tools. Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder management skills.
