Role DescriptionWe are seeking a Fire & Life Safety (FLS) Engineer to join our back office team in Egypt. This role will focus on providing remote engineering support for fire protection and life safety design, review, and compliance activities across our projects in Saudi Arabia. The successful candidate will work closely with our KSA-based project teams and clients to deliver accurate, code-compliant FLS designs, studies, and technical documentation.Key ResponsibilitiesPrepare and review fire and life safety designs, including fire alarm, firefighting, fire suppression, smoke management, and emergency evacuation systems.Develop FLS drawings, calculations, specifications, and BOQs in line with project requirements.Conduct code compliance reviews against NFPA standards, Saudi Building Code (SBC 801/201), and Saudi Civil Defense requirements.Prepare fire strategy reports, life safety studies, and egress analyses for buildings and infrastructure projects.Review shop drawings, material submittals, and contractor documentation, and prepare technical comments and responses.Support KSA-based teams remotely with design deliverables, tender support, and technical clarifications (RFIs).Coordinate with architectural, MEP, and structural disciplines to ensure integrated and compliant designs.Ensure all deliverables meet client specifications, industry standards, and company quality procedures and deadlines.Minimum QualificationsBachelor's degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Fire Protection Engineering.5-10 years of experience in fire and life safety design or consultancy (experience with KSA/GCC projects preferred).NFPA Certified Fire Protection Specialist (CFPS) certification is a plus.Strong knowledge of NFPA codes and standards, Saudi Building Code (SBC), and Saudi Civil Defense regulations.Proficiency in AutoCAD and Revit; experience with hydraulic calculation and evacuation modeling software is a plus.Excellent organizational, analytical, and communication skills.Ability to work independently in a remote/back office setup and meet strict deadlines.Fluency in Arabic and English.
