Firewall Systems QA Engineer

We are seeking a Firewall Systems QA Engineer responsible for validating the performance, reliability, and security of firewall systems. The role focuses on ensuring proper implementation of security policies, preventing unauthorized access, and maintaining high system quality through rigorous testing practices.Key ResponsibilitiesDesign, develop, and execute comprehensive test cases for firewall systemsPerform functional testing across core firewall capabilities such as Filtering, NAT, VPN, and IDS/IPSAnalyze system logs and security logs to detect anomalies, vulnerabilities, and performance issuesIdentify, document, and track defects, working closely with engineering teams for resolutionConduct validation and regression testing to ensure system stability and complianceVerify the correct implementation of security policies and access control mechanismsContribute to continuous improvement of QA processes, tools, and testing strategiesRequirementsStrong understanding of networking fundamentals (TCP/IP, routing, protocols)Hands-on experience with firewall technologies such as Palo Alto, Fortinet, or CiscoSolid knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practicesExperience with QA methodologies, testing frameworks, and defect tracking toolsAbility to analyze logs and troubleshoot complex system behaviorsStrong analytical thinking and attention to detailGood communication skills and ability to collaborate with cross-functional teams
