Our commitment to quality, precision, and attention to detail ensures that every product is both beautiful and enduring.Role DescriptionThis is a full-time, on-site position for a Furniture Technical Office Engineer based in the New Cairo Industrial Zone, Cairo, Egypt.The Furniture Technical Office Engineer will be responsible for preparing technical and shop drawings, developing detailed specifications and Bills of Quantities (BOQs), and performing quantity surveying. The role involves supporting project planning and execution while ensuring compliance with quality standards and project requirements.Key responsibilities include material selection, preparing design modifications to meet client requirements, and coordinating closely with production and project teams to ensure the timely and successful delivery of projects.QualificationsBachelor's degree in Applied Arts with a specialization in Furniture Design and Production, or a related field.Minimum of one year of relevant experience in furniture design and technical office work, preferably in wood and metal manufacturing.Excellent proficiency in AutoCAD and other relevant design software.Strong knowledge of furniture manufacturing processes, materials, and joinery techniques.Ability to prepare detailed technical drawings, shop drawings, and project specifications.Experience in preparing Bills of Quantities (BOQs) and quantity surveying.Strong project coordination skills, with the ability to collaborate effectively with production and cross-functional teams.Good understanding of wood, metal, fabrics, and other furniture materials for informed material selection.Excellent communication skills in both Arabic and English.Strong attention to detail, with the ability to review designs for accuracy, quality, and manufacturability.Proactive problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt designs to production and client requirements.Ability to work under pressure and meet project deadlines.How to ApplyInterested candidates are invited to send their CV and portfolio to:ibdaa.woodandmetalworks@outlook.com
