The General Ledger Supervisor at Nawy Real Estate is responsible for overseeing the general ledger activities, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records. This role involves managing a team of accountants, performing complex accounting tasks, and ensuring compliance with financial regulations and company policies.Key Responsibilities:Supervise and direct the general ledger accounting team, providing training, support, and performance evaluationEnsure accurate and timely recording of all financial transactions in the general ledgerOversee the month-end and year-end closing processes, ensuring all journal entries are recorded accuratelyPrepare and review monthly financial statements, reports, and account reconciliationsReview and analyze financial data to identify discrepancies or areas for improvementMonitor compliance with internal controls and company policies related to general ledger activitiesCoordinate with external auditors during financial audits and provide necessary documentationAssist in the development and implementation of accounting policies and proceduresSupport finance leadership with special projects and reporting as neededRequirementsQualifications:Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field; CPA preferredAt least 5 years of experience in general ledger accounting, with a minimum of 2 years in a supervisory roleStrong knowledge of accounting principles and financial regulationsExcellent leadership and team management skillsDetail-oriented with strong analytical and problem-solving capabilitiesProficient in accounting software and Microsoft ExcelEffective communication skills, both verbal and writtenAbility to manage multiple priorities and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment
