Egypt Education Platform is seeking an experienced and visionary Head of English Department to lead and inspire our English faculty at Madinaty Language School - MLS. This leadership role offers the opportunity to shape the English curriculum, promote high standards of teaching, and foster a culture of academic excellence and continuous professional development.Key Responsibilities:Lead, manage, and motivate the English department team to ensure outstanding teaching and learning outcomesDevelop, implement, and review the English curriculum in alignment with school policies and educational standardsMonitor student progress and achievement across all Key Stages within the English department, and implement strategies to improve outcomesProvide guidance, support, and professional development opportunities to teaching staff within the departmentCollaborate with school leadership and other departments to ensure a cohesive and integrated educational experienceManage departmental resources effectively, including budgeting and procurementPromote a positive and inclusive learning environment that encourages innovation, creativity, and student engagementLead departmental meetings and contribute to whole school initiatives and strategic planningRequirementsBachelor's degree in English, Education, or related field; a Master's degree is preferredSignificant teaching experience in EnglishProven leadership experience, preferably as a Head of Department or in a similar roleStrong understanding of curriculum design, assessment practices, and educational standardsExcellent communication, organizational, and interpersonal skillsAbility to inspire, mentor, and develop teaching staff to achieve high performanceCommitment to ongoing professional development and educational innovationFamiliarity with safeguarding procedures and student welfare policiesSafeguarding Statement: The safety and well-being of our students remain our top priority.
