▌ About rate International Credit Rating Solutions S.A.E. (ICRS), operating under the rate brand, is an independent credit rating agency headquartered in Cairo, regulated by Egypt’s Financial Regulatory Authority (FRA) and aligned with the IOSCO Code of Conduct for Credit Rating Agencies. We deliver rigorous, independent and transparent credit opinions across corporates, banks, non-bank financial institutions (NBFIs), structured finance and Islamic (Sukuk) instruments on Egypt’s national rating scale.▌ About the Role We are looking for a Head of Ratings to own the integrity, independence and technical quality of all of rate’s credit rating activities — chairing rating committees, steering methodology, and acting as our senior technical voice with the FRA. ▌ What You’ll Do • Chair Rating Committees and safeguard an independent, well-documented voting process. • Develop and maintain rating methodologies across corporates, banks, NBFIs, structured finance and sovereigns, aligned with FRA regulations and the IOSCO Code of Conduct. • Oversee rating surveillance and review cycles; approve final rating reports and rationales. • Monitor model performance and back-testing; oversee rating transition analysis and default studies. • Act as the senior technical contact with the FRA and support regulatory inspections and disclosure compliance. • Oversee calibration of Egypt’s national rating scale. • Build, supervise and mentor the analytical team and establish the analytical career framework. • Maintain a clear firewall between analytical and commercial functions. ▌ What You’ll Bring • Bachelor’s in Finance, Economics or Accounting; MBA / Master’s preferred; CFA highly preferred. • 10+ years in credit analysis, rating agencies, investment banking or corporate finance, including significant leadership experience. • Experience in the Egyptian credit market is strongly required. • Deep credit-risk modeling expertise, committee-governance experience and FRA regulatory knowledge. • Uncompromising independence and ethical integrity, with the ability to defend ratings publicly. ▌ Why Join rate Lead the analytical heart of an FRA-regulated rating authority, shape national-scale standards, and represent rate in front of regulators, investors and the market.▌ How to Apply rate · Apply directly through LinkedIn, or send your CV to [carriers@rate-cr.com] with the role title in the subject line.
