Job Title: Importation and health care specialist Department: Supply Chain Job Summary Responsible for maintaining accurate and timely purchase order processing. Monitor stock levels and reorder merchandise to ensure proper levels. Support sales staff to process special orders and research products for customers. Serve as primary contact for associates with product and order status questions.The Importation and health care specialist will carry out all tasks related to importing and supplying Egyptian market with the required products that are mandatory for health care. Main Duties and Responsibilities Foreign Purchase: Reagents forecasting to identify required materials to be imported Create items on SAP Forecasting (expiry- upcoming shipments – cash flow) for the financial closing reportCreates accurate purchase orders by verifying specifications and pricing on a project and regular stock products. Submits all purchase orders created to vendors and follows up to ensure receipt.Inspect and analyze purchase order discrepancies to identify root causes and develop action items to resolveVerifies all requisitions have been converted to purchase orders to fulfill orders and install datesEnters backorders and communicates backorder status regularly with teams. Coordinates substitute items to meet customer needs and timelinesEnsure all products are purchased within correct price guidelines and with any and all applicable discounts. Escalates pricing discrepancies found between vendor order acknowledgments.Enters order acknowledgments and expected delivery dates from vendors on submitted orders. Handles vendor returns, aged inventory and canceled orders. Coordinates resolution on issues with suppliers such as over or under ordersMay work with Vendors/customers on claims processing to recover material cost on defective items.Inventory Management Monitoring materials consumption and highlighting any potential risk and act accordingly. Coordinate with warehouse to prepare inbound plan. Follow up on expiry dates monthly. Identify expired products in the warehouse, carry out segregation and destruction bi-annually. Regulatory: Ensure the imported materials comply with EDA requirements. Requesting, reviewing, and submitting regulatory-related documents. Handling all regulatory documentation related to importation. Following up third-party – (e.g.: custom clearance, EDA, …. Etc.)- activity and supervise their status and communicate with them. Handle recalls with EDA with EDA.Education and Experience: Bachelor’s degree in science, pharmacy, or related field. Medical/pharmaceutical background is Preferred. Proficiency in all Microsoft Office applications.SAP (S4 HANA) user is a plus. Supply chain certificate is a plus English language fluency. 1 to 3 years’ experience in similar field.Required Skills/Abilities: Strong analytical, decision-making, and Excellent organizational skills.
