Indirect Material Planner

About the Role:The Indirect Material Planner ensures the continuous availability of contracted indirect materials, consumables, and tools required for smooth plant operations. Supports production and facility teams with timely procurement and inventory control.The role collaborates closely with maintenance, production, and facility teams to forecast needs, manage inventory, and coordinate procurement activities.Key Responsibilities:Plan and procure indirect materials such as consumables, tools, packaging, and PPE.Maintain stock levels, reorder points, and replenishment strategies for all indirect categories.Maintain accurate ERP data for lead times, MOQ, safety stock, and supplier parameters.Work with maintenance and production teams to forecast consumption and upcoming requirements.Manage supplier relationships, deliveries, and evaluate supplier performance.Track open purchase orders, delivery schedules, and supplier adherence.Ensure compliance with safety and quality standards for all indirect materials.Maintain accurate inventory records and support periodic audits and cycle counts.Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain, Business, or Engineering.Automotive experience is preferred.2–4 years of experience in material planning/indirect procurement.Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.Strong communication and stakeholders’ management capabilities.Strong organizational and multitasking skills.Solid understanding of MRP and inventory control principles.Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.Proficiency in Microsoft office tools.Proficiency in ERP/MRP systems (SAP preferred).Power BI and Basic automation or Python coding is a plus.APICS CPIM Certification is a plus.
