Infection Control Specialist

Prepare and review infection control reports and infection rates.Participate in developing and updating infection control policies and procedures.Monitor hospital cleanliness and hygiene practices.Conduct regular rounds to ensure compliance with infection control standards.Follow up with nursing staff on safe practices, including:IV cannula insertion and documentation.Urinary catheter care.Wound dressing procedures.Medication administration practices.Monitor proper handling and disposal of medical waste.Provide guidance and training to hospital departments on infection prevention practices.Monitor and report hospital-acquired infections in coordination with the Microbiology Physician.Conduct infection control investigations to identify problems and recommend solutions.Educate staff on isolation precautions and infection prevention measures.Participate in infection control programs and improvement activities.Maintain infection control records, surveillance data, and reports.Support selection and proper use of infection control materials such as disinfectants and single-use items. Education:Bachelor’s degree in medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, or Nursing, plus a Diploma in Infection Control.Experience:1 to 3 years of experience.
