Infection Control Specialist

Core Responsibilities: -• Participates in preparing reports and infection surveillance rates.• Follows up on the implementation of hospital cleanliness and hygiene regulations.• Monitors the nursing staff regarding proper methods of medical waste disposal.• Provides guidance and counseling to all hospital departments to prevent and eliminate hospital-acquired infections.• Carries out surveillance of hospital-acquired infections in cooperation with the microbiologist.• Conducts epidemiological investigations for all hospital departments in cooperation with the microbiologist to identify problems and explore solutions.• Participates in planning infection control programs.• Designs a reporting system for notifying and documenting infections.• Participates in selecting infection control supplies (disinfectants, single-use items) and provides instructions for their use.Requirements: -• Bachelor’s degree in Medicine, Pharmacy, Dentistry, or Nursing • 1–3 years of experience• Diploma in Infection Control
