If you want to grow your career whilst finding the perfect balance between work and life, Vodafone offers the opportunities to help you belong and make a real impact.Role PurposeWork closely with operations teams to implement and maintain scalable and efficient systems, automate processes, and monitor system health.Role ResponsibilitiesMonitor system performance, availability, and capacity to identify and address potential issues proactively Implement monitoring tools and frameworks to gather system metrics, analyze trends, and identify areas for improvement Participate in on-call rotations to ensure 24/7 coverage and timely incident response Contribute to incident investigation and implement preventive measures to minimize future incidents Automate repetitive tasks and processes to improve efficiency and reduce manual effortDevelop and maintain scripts, tools, and configurations for system deployment,Leverage infrastructure-as-code principles to manage and provision resources Identify system bottlenecks and performance issues through monitoring and analysis Conduct load testing and capacity planning to ensure systems can handle expected workloads Participate in regular retrospectives and contribute ideas for process improvements and system enhancements Stay up to date with emerging technologies, industry best practices, and SRE methodologies to drive continuous improvement efforts Technologies you will work withGit, Jenkins, Ansible, Docker, RedHat OpenShift, Kibana, Slack, Jira, Ant & Maven, webserver, Kubernetes, Shell scripting and Unix/Linux and databaseMaintain accurate documentation of system configurations, processes, and troubleshooting steps Competencies And QualificationsBachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field 3 years of relevant operation experience for large scaled systemsStrong knowledge of computer science and software engineering principles Advanced trouble shooting , analytical and problem-solving skills Strong experience in system administration, networking, and Linux/Unix operating systems Strong experience in programming/scripting languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell Knowledge containerization technologies (e.g., Docker, Kubernetes) Understanding of monitoring and observability tools such as Prometheus, Grafana, ELK stack, or similar Strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to effectively collaborate with cross-functional teams Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handle multiple tasks, and adapt to changing priorities Not a perfect fit?Worried that you don’t meet all the desired criteria exactly?
