Role Summary:The Internal Control Manager supports the design, implementation, and continuous improvement of internal control frameworks across the organization, specifically focusing on financial, operational, and compliance controls. Reporting to the Head of Internal Controls, this role ensures adherence to regulatory requirements, enhances operational efficiencies, and safeguards the accuracy of financial reporting in line with IFRS and relevant standards. The Internal Control Manager acts as a key liaison between business units, internal audit, and external auditors, driving control effectiveness and risk mitigation initiatives.Key Responsibilities:Support development and maintenance of Internal Control over Financial Reporting (ICFR) frameworks aligned with COSO principles.Ensure controls are appropriately documented, updated and embedded within key financial and operational processes.Assist in conducting risk assessments, mapping risks to controls, and evaluating control effectiveness across business units and support functions.Manage control self-assessment (CSA) programs and risk-control matrices (RCMs) to monitor risk mitigation.Coordinate and participate in walkthroughs and control testing activities with internal audit and external consultants.Monitor internal control deficiencies, work with control owners to develop remediation plans, and track timely closure of control gaps.Support the development and standardization of policies and procedures, particularly in high-risk areas such as procure-to-pay, order-to-cash, inventory, and payroll.Facilitate compliance with regulatory frameworks including local market and governance requirements (ADX, SCA, etc.); coordinate audit activities related to ICFR.Conduct training and awareness programs to embed strong internal control culture within the organization.Prepare regular reports on internal control status, risk assessments, and remediation progress for the Head of Internal Controls and senior management.Qualifications and Experience:Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, Business Administration, or related discipline.Professional certifications such as CIA, CPA, CA, CMA, CISA, or ACCA preferred.8-10 years of experience in internal control, internal audit, or risk management roles, with exposure to the Food & Beverage industry preferred.Previous experience in a Big 4 is highly desirable. Experience in publicly listed company, preferably in FMCG, manufacturing or multinational environment.Strong knowledge of IFRS, COSO, risk management methodologies, and ERP systems (e.g., SAP, Oracle).Arabic speaker with working proficiency in English
