Network Architecture & Design: Design end-to-end IoT communication architectures, select appropriate connectivity technologies based on project requirements, develop network topologies for large-scale IoT deployments, and optimize network performance, reliability, and scalability.IoT Connectivity: Work with various communication technologies including: Cellular IoT (NB-IoT, LTE-M, 4G, 5G), Wi-Fi, Bluetooth / BLE, Zigbee, Thread, LoRa WAN, Sigfox, Ethernet, and Satellite IoT (where applicable).Communication Protocols: Design, implement, and troubleshoot IoT communication protocols including: MQTT, MQTT-SN, CoAP, HTTP/HTTPS, WebSockets, AMQP, DDS, Modbus, OPC UA, BACnet, CAN Bus, RS-485, TCP/IP, and UDP.Integration: Integrate IoT devices with gateways, connect edge devices with cloud platforms, Support API integrations, and ensure interoperability among multi-vendor devices.Security: Implement secure communication including: TLS/SSL, VPNs, Certificate management, Authentication & authorization, Secure device provisioning, Encryption, and Key management.Testing & Validation: Perform protocol analysis, conduct interoperability testing, Network performance testing, Packet analysis using Wireshark, and Connectivity troubleshooting.Monitoring & Optimization: Monitor network health, analyze communication latency, improve bandwidth utilization, and optimize power consumption for constrained devices.Documentation: Prepare and maintain network architecture documents, Interface specifications, Communication flow diagrams, technical documentation, and Standard operating procedures. Bachelor’s degree in Computer Engineering, Communications Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or a related field.3–7 years of experience in networking, telecommunications, or IoT.Strong understanding of TCP/IP networking.Experience with routing, switching, and wireless networking.Experience with IoT communication protocols.Familiarity with cloud IoT platforms.Knowledge of Linux environments.Preferred Qualifications: Experience with Cisco, Huawei, Juniper, or similar networking technologies, Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS IoT, Azure IoT, or Google Cloud IoT, Experience with embedded systems, Familiarity with edge computing architectures, and Soft Skills like Analytical thinking, Problem solving, Communication skills, Documentation, Team collaboration, and Customer-focused mindset.
