IT System Engineer

The System Engineer is responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining the company’s IT systems and networks. This role ensures the security, reliability, and efficiency of network and system operations while providing technical support to optimize business processes and align IT services with organizational objectives.Responsibilities1. Network Security and Improvement:Design and implement new network solutions or enhance the efficiency of existing networks.Install, configure, and maintain network equipment, including routers, proxy servers, switches, WAN accelerators, DNS, and DHCP.Secure network systems by establishing and enforcing policies and monitoring access.2. System Security and Administration:Administer and support firewall environments in compliance with IT security policies.Install, configure, and maintain servers and networks to ensure high availability and performance.Oversee system performance, troubleshoot issues, and sustain network integrity, server deployment, and security.Perform system upgrades in line with new releases and security best practices.3. Support and Implementation:Implement, support, and manage IT services, including networking, IT security, email systems, and disaster recovery solutions.Provide technical support for desktop, server, and networking issues to ensure business continuity.Monitor and maintain network servers such as file servers, VPN gateways, and intrusion detection systems.Enable smarter business processes by implementing analytics and ensuring high-level security and operational efficiency.  Job Specifications           Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field.2–4 years of experience in system and network administration.Proficiency in configuring and managing network devices (routers, switches, firewalls).Strong knowledge of system security protocols and administration tools.Expertise in IT services, including networking, email systems, and disaster recovery.Analytical and troubleshooting skills to resolve IT issues efficiently.Familiarity with network monitoring and intrusion detection tools.Ability to maintain high-level security and system integrity.
