The Junior Product Category Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of perishable categories within the supply chain. This role ensures product availability, quality standards, and margin targets are met while minimizing waste and maintaining cold chain integrity from factories to shelf.Responsibilities' Sourcing & Supplier Management: Identify, onboard, and manage supplier relationships; negotiate pricing, contracts, and SLAs; maintain backup supplier network. Demand Planning: Develop accurate demand forecasts considering seasonality, promotions, and trends; set reorder points and manage daily/weekly replenishment. Supplier and Range performance analysis: Commercial: monitor spot vs. contracted pricing and adjust sourcing strategy accordingly. Cross-functional Collaboration: Align with merchandising, store operations, quality, marketing and finance teams on costing, ranging, promotions, and category performance reviews. Supplier and Range performance analysis: Regularly review supplier performance across key metrics (OTIF, quality rejection rate, pricing adherence) and hold structured performance discussions with suppliers to drive continuous improvement; simultaneously assess range performance by analyzing sales, margin, waste, and availability data per SKU to identify slow movers, gaps, and opportunities for new product introduction or delisting.Requirements' Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering. 2–5 years of experience in category management, procurement, or supply chain. Proficiency in demand planning tools and advanced Excel/data analysis. Proven negotiation skills with suppliers and logistics providers. Ability to make fast, data-driven decisions in a time-sensitive perishable environment.
