With a philosophy based on the highest standards of ethics and business conduct, YBA prioritizes client privacy and top-quality services.Scope of the RoleThe Junior Quantity Surveyor – Architect supports cost management and control for architectural projects. Works closely with architects and project teams to prepare cost estimates, monitor budgets, and assist in procurement and contract administration, ensuring projects are delivered within budget and according to design specifications.Key Accountabilities / Responsibilities· Read engineering drawings and determine the scope of each item to accurately calculate quantities.· Record take-off formulas and results in designated tables according to the CSI format required for the project.· Ensure compliance with all required standards and specifications when identifying project quantities.· Responsible for tools and materials used by his/her team· Responsible for reviewing tools and materials used in multiple products· Responsible for reviewing all tools and materials used in the organization· Has access to financial data or department budget information· Oversees the budget and proposes suggestions that may impact financial decisions· Approves or prepares the organization’s financial budgetJob Competences· Cost estimation and budgeting.· Understanding architectural drawings and specifications.· Basic contract administration.· Attention to detail and accuracy.· Effective communication and teamwork.· Time management and organization.· Proficiency in Microsoft Office and relevant software.Professional Qualification & Experience :· Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Quantity Surveying, Architecture, Civil Engineering, or related field.· 1-3 years of experience in quantity surveying, preferably with architectural projects.· Familiarity with quantity surveying and architectural software (e.g. PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Revit) is advantageous.· Strong numerical, analytical, and communication skills.· Ability to work collaboratively with architects and project teams.
