This role is responsible for preparing and reviewing detailed kitchen shop drawings, ensuring alignment with design intent, technical standards, and client requirements. The engineer will coordinate with design, procurement, and site teams to validate measurements, materials, and installation methods, and to resolve technical issues. Day-to-day tasks include developing and updating BOQs, conducting quantity takeoffs, and supporting cost estimates for kitchen projects. The role also involves reviewing civil and electrical requirements for kitchen layouts, ensuring accurate service coordination, and maintaining clear project documentation and reports. Collaboration with internal stakeholders and external suppliers is expected to meet timelines, quality benchmarks, and safety standards.Qualifications Strong proficiency in preparing and reviewing shop drawings for kitchens, including layout, detailing, and coordination with other trades.Ability to develop and verify BOQs, perform quantity takeoffs, and support quantity surveying activities for kitchen projects.Solid understanding of civil engineering aspects relevant to kitchen construction, finishes, and installation constraints.Working knowledge of electrical engineering requirements for kitchens, including power outlets, lighting points, and appliance connections.Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Civil, Architectural, or related field) or equivalent technical qualification.Proficiency in CAD and related design/drafting software; familiarity with project management or documentation tools is an advantage.Strong analytical, numerical, and problem-solving skills with attention to accuracy and detail.Effective communication and teamwork skills, with the ability to coordinate across design, technical, and site teams.Previous experience in kitchen, interior fit-out, or residential projects is preferred.
