We combine technology, operations and data to build scalable restaurant brands, and we're only just getting started.We're looking for our first Lead Data Scientist to build a modern data science function from the ground up. You'll design predictive models, own our data platform, lead our AI strategy, and build a small, high-performing team.This is an opportunity to build systems that directly influence where we expand, how we price, how we forecast demand, and how we grow.What You'll DoPredictive Modelling• Build forecasting and predictive models from scratch.• Develop demand forecasting, pricing optimisation, churn prediction, customer lifetime value and territory analysis.• Take models from concept through to production and continuous improvement.Data Platform• Design and own our BigQuery data warehouse.• Build scalable ELT pipelines (dbt or similar).• Deliver trusted datasets and reporting that power the business.AI & Automation• Build AI-powered, agentic workflows and natural language querying.• Automate analysis, monitoring and reporting.• Help shape how AI is embedded across the business.Leadership• Lead and mentor a Data Engineer and Data Analyst.• Manage specialist contractors, building strong relationships with our operating partners.• Establish standards, tooling and best practices as the function grows.What You'll BringEssential• Commercial experience building predictive and forecasting models from scratch. (food delivery, QSR, logistics, or similar fast-moving industries strongly preferred)• Advanced Python (Pandas, NumPy, scikit-learn, Prophet, statsmodels).• Strong time-series forecasting expertise.• Excellent SQL and statistical modelling skills.• Experience deploying production-ready models.• Experience designing modern data platforms (BigQuery, dbt or equivalent).• Strong communication skills with technical and non-technical stakeholders.• Fluent written and spoken English.Desirable• Power BI or similar BI tools.• Cloud platforms (Azure, AWS or GCP).• Workflow automation (Airflow, n8n).• LLMs, agentic AI or NLP.• Previous experience as a founding or first data hire.________________________________________Why Join Dish'd?• Build a data science function from the ground up.• Lead AI innovation in a fast-growing business.• Work directly with the Founder and influence strategic decisions.• Real scope to shape the tooling, the stack, and the team as we scale toward 150 sites • Hybrid working (3 days in our Heliopolis office).• Competitive salary based on experience.
