The successful candidate will act as a strategic legal adviser to the organisation while ensuring the business operates with strong governance, legal protection, and commercial integrity.The role company’s legal interests, strengthening governance frameworks, supporting executive decision-making, managing legal risk, and overseeing all contractual and regulatory matters.The position requires strong leadership capability, exceptional commercial judgement, and the ability to operate confidently with senior stakeholders across multiple business areas.Key ResponsibilitiesLegal Leadership & StrategyLead and oversee the company’s entire legal function and day-to-day legal operations Act as the principal legal adviser to executive leadership and senior management Develop and implement legal strategies aligned with the organisation’s growth objectives Build scalable legal processes, governance standards, and risk management frameworks Corporate & Commercial Legal AffairsDraft, review, negotiate, and manage a broad range of commercial agreements and legal documentation Provide legal support across corporate transactions, strategic partnerships, procurement, and operational matters Advise on corporate structuring, shareholder matters, and business expansion activities Ensure legal protection across all commercial dealings and contractual relationships Development MattersSupport legal activities related to development of projects and associated operations Review and advise on development agreements, construction-related contracts, land matters, and vendor agreements Coordinate with external legal advisers and regulatory bodies where required Mitigate legal and commercial exposure across development and operational activities Governance, Compliance & RiskEnsure ongoing compliance with applicable Egyptian laws, regulations, and corporate governance standards Monitor legislative and regulatory developments impacting the business Identify legal, regulatory, and operational risks and implement mitigation strategies Strengthen internal governance frameworks, policies, and legal controls Disputes & Litigation ManagementOversee litigation, disputes, arbitration matters, and external legal counsel Manage legal claims strategically while protecting the company’s commercial and reputational interests Support dispute resolution efforts through negotiation and legal risk assessment Mergers, Acquisitions & Strategic TransactionsProvide legal oversight on M&A activities, investments, and strategic transactions Support due diligence exercises, transaction structuring, negotiations, and post-deal integration Coordinate with finance, leadership, and external advisers throughout transaction cycles Leadership & Stakeholder ManagementLead, mentor, and develop the legal team Build strong relationships with internal departments, executive stakeholders, regulators, and external legal partners Operate as a trusted adviser to leadership on high-impact legal and commercial matters Candidate ProfileWe are seeking a senior legal professional with strong commercial instincts, executive maturity, and proven experience operating within complex business environments.The ideal candidate will demonstrate the ability to influence strategic decisions while remaining hands-on across operational legal matters.RequirementsExperienceMinimum 12–15 years of progressive legal experience At least 5 years in a senior legal leadership role Strong in-house legal experience within real estate, construction, investment, holding groups, or diversified corporate environments Proven experience handling corporate, commercial, regulatory, governance, and contractual matters Exposure to mergers & acquisitions, disputes, and strategic transactions is highly preferred Experience working across Egypt and/or GCC markets is considered advantageous EducationBachelor’s Degree in Law (LLB) is required Master’s Degree (LLM) or equivalent postgraduate legal qualification is preferred Skills & CompetenciesStrong expertise in corporate and commercial law Excellent contract drafting and negotiation capabilities Strong understanding of governance, compliance, and legal risk management Ability to manage complex legal matters with sound commercial judgement Strong stakeholder management and executive communication skills High level of professionalism, discretion, and integrity Strong analytical, strategic thinking, and leadership capabilities Fluent Arabic and English communication skills, both
