Application Deadline: 30 June 2026Department: Spa & RecreationLocation: Egypt - CairoCompensation: ج.م0 / monthDescriptionRoyal Maxim Palace KempinskiSCOPEThe incumbent in this position is responsible for the safety and security of our guests at the poolside.Key ResponsibilitiesMAIN RESPONSIBILITIESResponsible for the safety of guests and employees that are inside the designated swimming areas (beach/pool) during the posted business hours.Must be a certified Life Guard of any of the world Life Guard Associations and of active status.Artificial Resuscitation (mouth-to-mouth)Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR)Responsible for keeping the designated and marked swimming areas free of any engine is driven a boat or alike, windsurfers or sea bikes (pedals).Responsible for keeping swimmers/snorkelers out of boat tracks or any other hazardous area.Responsible for responding to any emergency within the hotel swimming area/pool area.Responsible for the safety set-up at the beach/pool which includes:Set up of the life-saving floatation devices along the shoreline/around the pool.Correct flag (colors) must be put up during business hours.Rescue Surfboard/Boat ready on the shoreline.First Aid Kit at the beach/pool chair/post.Posting of business hours.The depth of the pool (s).Water & Air Temperatures.Wind force/Wind speedResponsible that there is a rescue boat with engine available at all times.Responsible for the logging in and logging out of the windsurfers, sailing boats and number of crew and sea bikes and number of crew. Ensures that these activities are executed in the designated areas.Monitors / observes and controls the windsurfers, sailors, and sea bikes while out on the sea. Supervise and organizes the rescue of windsurfers, sailing boat or sea bikes if needed.Responsible for ensuring that all Water Sports activities or Pool Activities are executed according to the Security Rules.Responsible for a temporary replacement while going to the bathroom and for lunch or breaks etc.Perform all duties and responsibilities in a timely and efficient manner in accordance with established company policies and procedures to achieve overall objectives of this position.Understand and strictly adhere to the Rules & Regulations established in the Employees Handbook and the Hotel’s policy on Fire, Hygiene, Health & Safety.Ensure that all potential and real hazards are reported and rectified immediately.Perform any other duties as assigned to them by management.Additional responsibilities and tasks can be added at any time according to the needs of the business and of the hotel.Skills, Knowledge and ExpertiseNATIONALITY: Eligible for a working permit in country of hire.EXPERIENCE: Minimum 1-2 year work experience in a similar position, preferably in a 5-star International hotel.TECHNICAL SKILLS: Strong swimming skill and good working knowledge health club and swimming pool operation.COMPETENCIES:Task AchievementAdaptability Flexibility Commitment to professional values and integrity Results orientedRelationshipTeamwork / CooperationCross cultural sensitivityInterpersonal skillsCustomer oriented – able to establish rapport quickly and easilyFlexible / PatientPositive ProfessionalLANGUAGE: Ability to work and communicate in a multinational environment:Local language – oral and written skills (as applicable)English –oral skills are beneficialAbility to satisfactorily communicate in English with guests, management, hotel personnel and service company representative to their understanding.Flexibility in terms of schedulingEDUCATIONCollege education.
