Team members collaborate closely to deliver safe, compassionate, and results-driven care in a professional clinical environment.Role Description This is a part time , on-site Lymphedema Therapist role based at Myo Clinic in Maadi, QLD. The Lymphedema Therapist will assess patients with primary and secondary lymphedema, develop individualized treatment plans, and provide ongoing monitoring and documentation of progress. Daily responsibilities include performing comprehensive decongestive therapy (manual lymphatic drainage, compression bandaging, exercise, and skin care), educating patients and caregivers on self-management, and coordinating care with physiotherapists and other health professionals. The role also involves maintaining accurate clinical records, adhering to infection control and safety standards, and participating in case discussions and quality improvement activities. The therapist is expected to contribute to a respectful, inclusive, and supportive environment for patients and colleagues.QualificationsFormal qualification in Physiotherapy or Occupational Therapy, with additional certification or specialized training in lymphedema management (Complete Decongestive Therapy or equivalent).Demonstrated clinical experience in lymphedema assessment and treatment, including manual lymphatic drainage, compression therapy, therapeutic exercise, and skin care education.Strong patient-centered communication skills, including the ability to explain complex concepts clearly, provide empathetic support, and collaborate effectively with multidisciplinary teams.Solid clinical reasoning, assessment, and documentation skills, including the ability to set measurable goals, track outcomes, and adjust treatment plans based on patient response.Ability to perform physically demanding tasks associated with manual therapy and positioning, while maintaining safe body mechanics and patient safety.Comfort working in an on-site clinical setting in Maadi, QLD, with a commitment to punctuality, reliability, and professional conduct.Commitment to evidence-based practice, ongoing professional development, and adherence to relevant professional and ethical standards.
