πΉ Engineering Project Leadership β Identify production bottlenecks and improvement opportunities; prioritize by savings, productivity, downtime, safety, and operational impact; lead projects from concept to execution, coordinating across production, maintenance, workshop, electrical, procurement, and suppliers.πΉ Machine Design & Development β Design mechanical systems, custom equipment, jigs, conveyors, and material-handling systems; review drawings, calculations, and select motors, gearboxes, bearings, pneumatics, hydraulics, and sensors; ensure manufacturability, assembly, operability, and improved reliability.πΉ Reverse Engineering & Spare Parts Localization β Reverse-engineer critical spare parts and machine components; analyze failure root causes and improve material, geometry, tolerances, or manufacturing method; prepare drawings and inspection specs for local manufacturing where feasible.πΉ Manufacturing & Installation β Coordinate with internal and external workshops on machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, and installation; review manufacturing quality against drawings and specs; resolve fabrication/installation issues for heavy industrial operation.πΉ Automation & Line Optimization β Work with electrical/automation teams to implement semi-automated and automated solutions; support integration of PLC, HMI, sensors, VFDs, servos, and safety systems; optimize handling, loading, unloading, cutting, mixing/dosing, conveying, and packing.πΉ Testing & Commissioning β Oversee start-up and testing under real production conditions; troubleshoot mechanical, electrical, and operational issues; train operators and maintenance staff, and prepare handover documentation and spare parts lists.πΉ Team Building & Engineering Standards β Help build and lead the internal engineering team; mentor engineers, technicians, and workshop staff; set practical standards for drawings, documentation, design reviews, and project tracking.Required Qualifications & Experience:β Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Production Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. β 10β20 years of experience in machine design, plant engineering projects, equipment improvement, industrial automation, or manufacturing engineering. β Hands-on experience building or modifying machines, reverse engineering, commissioning, or production line optimization. β Proven ability to lead engineering projects from concept through execution. β Solid practical understanding of machining, welding, fabrication, assembly, installation, and commissioning. β Strong ability to review technical drawings, calculations, and mechanical designs.Preferred Background:π Machine/custom equipment manufacturers. π Industrial automation and production line integration companies. π Service, installation, or commissioning teams at OEM equipment suppliers. π Cement, steel, glass, ceramics, packaging, food, mining, or heavy industries β where engineers own modification, improvement, fabrication, and operation, not just maintenance.Key Technical Skills:Mechanical Design: Mechanisms, chassis, jigs, conveyors, handling, line layout.Machine Components: Bearings, shafts, chains, belts, gears, couplings, motors, pneumatics, hydraulics.Manufacturing: Machining, welding, assembly, tolerances, inspection, workshop coordination.Reverse Engineering: Measurement, drawings, failure analysis, material selection, parts localization.CAD & Documentation: SolidWorks, Inventor, or AutoCAD; technical drawings, BOMs, maintenance docs.Automation Understanding: PLC, sensors, VFD, servo, HMI, machine safety β hands-on exposure preferred.Personal Attributesπͺ Hands-on, comfortable on the plant floor. πͺ Strong troubleshooter, decisive under pressure. πͺ Leads engineers, technicians, welders, electricians, and suppliers. πͺ Cost- and safety-conscious, organized, execution-focused. πͺ Turns ideas into solutions that actually work on the plant floor.
