Team members join a fast-growing organization that values professionalism, reliability, and customer-centric thinking.Role Description The Maintenance Engineer is a full-time, on-site role based in New Cairo, responsible for ensuring the safe, reliable, and efficient operation of building systems and equipment across Upwyde Developments’ properties. Day-to-day responsibilities include inspecting, troubleshooting, and repairing mechanical, electrical, and plumbing systems, as well as monitoring equipment performance to minimize downtime. The role involves planning and executing preventive maintenance schedules, documenting all maintenance activities, and coordinating with contractors and vendors when specialized services are required. The Maintenance Engineer will support facility operations during routine hours and may respond to urgent maintenance issues as needed to maintain safety and comfort. Collaboration with property management, HSE, and project teams is expected to ensure that maintenance activities align with company standards and local regulations.QualificationsStrong background in Maintenance Engineering and Maintenance & Repair, with the ability to diagnose issues and implement effective technical solutions.Bachelor degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering is a MUST .Hands-on experience in Equipment Maintenance and Preventive Maintenance to ensure optimal performance and extended lifespan of building systems. Real Estate experience is a MUSTPractical knowledge of Electrical Maintenance, including troubleshooting and repairing electrical panels, wiring, and control systems in compliance with safety standards.Relevant technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Mechatronics Engineering (or a related field).Familiarity with building management systems (BMS), HVAC operations, and facility safety procedures is highly beneficial.Ability to read and interpret technical drawings, manuals, and maintenance documentation.Strong problem-solving skills, attention to detail, and the ability to prioritize tasks in a fast-paced environment.Effective communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively with cross-functional teams and external service providers.Willingness to work on-site in New Cairo and respond to occasional after-hours or emergency maintenance needs.
