Job Purpose / Role Summary:As a Material Planner, you will act as the bridge between procurement, production, and warehousing to guarantee the uninterrupted flow of raw materials and components. You will own the MRP process, balance inventory levels against production demands, and ensure that costly stock-outs and excess inventory are things of the past. Your planning will directly influence on-time delivery, cost optimization, and the overall efficiency of our manufacturing plants.Key Responsibilities:Develop and maintain a robust Material Requirements Plan (MRP) based on master production schedules, sales forecasts, and accurate BOMs for porcelain, ceramic tile, and sanitary ware lines.Set and continuously optimize planning parameters: safety stock, reorder points, and lead times for critical materials (clays, feldspar, glazes, pigments, packaging, and spare parts).Proactively monitor inventory levels, initiate purchase requisitions in the ERP system, and track supplier deliveries to avoid production downtime.Coordinate daily with Procurement, Warehouse, and Production teams to synchronize material availability, adjust to short-term schedule changes, and resolve supply bottlenecks.Perform detailed consumption analysis, slow-moving/obsolete stock review, and scrap variance reporting to reduce waste and holding costs.Ensure 100% data integrity in the ERP system for material master records, planning parameters, and BOM accuracy.Lead material review meetings, present KPI dashboards (inventory projection, shortage analysis, turns), and communicate risks to the Supply Chain Manager.Support new product introduction and trial runs by planning material readiness and assessing supplier lead-time capability.Champion continuous improvement projects in material planning processes using lean and data-driven methodologies. Required Qualifications:Bachelor’s degree in Supply Chain Management, Industrial Engineering, Business Administration, or a related technical field.3 to 7 years of solid experience in material planning, inventory control, or production planning, ideally within a heavy process manufacturing setting.APICS CPIM / CSCP certification is highly desirable.Required Technical Skills:Advanced command of MRP logic, inventory management models, and production planning fundamentals.Expert-level Excel skills (PivotTables, Power Query, XLOOKUP, dynamic dashboards) for large data sets.Deep ability to read and interpret Bills of Materials, routing steps, and capacity constraints.Strong understanding of procurement lead times, supplier performance, and warehouse storage strategies.ERP & System Requirements:Hands-on, daily-user experience with Odoo ERP platforms.Exposure to Advanced Planning Systems (APS) or supply chain analytics tools is an advantage.Preferred Industry Experience:Direct material planning background in porcelain, ceramic tiles, sanitary ware, or adjacent heavy manufacturing sectors (glass, cement, refractories, building materials).Familiarity with the properties and sourcing patterns of ceramic body raw materials, frits, glazes, and packaging specific to the tile/sanitary ware industry in the Egypt/MENA region.Reporting Line: Supply Chain ManagerWork Location: Egypt – Office-based (New Cairo, Rehab City).Employment Type: Full-time, permanent.
