The organization values continuous improvement and practical problem-solving in its daily operations.Role Description This is a full-time, on-site Mechanical Engineer role based in Qesm El Khanka. The Mechanical Engineer will be responsible for designing, maintaining, and optimizing mechanical systems and equipment used in melamine and resin production. Daily tasks include preparing and reviewing technical drawings, evaluating machine performance, troubleshooting mechanical issues, and coordinating with production and maintenance teams to reduce downtime. The role involves supporting new equipment installations, implementing preventive maintenance plans, and ensuring compliance with safety and quality standards. The Mechanical Engineer will also participate in process improvement initiatives, collaborate on R&D activities, and contribute to project planning and documentation.Qualifications Strong foundation in Mechanical Engineering, with the ability to apply core engineering principles in an industrial or manufacturing environment.Experience in Machine Design and equipment selection, including designing or modifying mechanical components for reliability and efficiency.Proficiency in Computer-Aided Design (CAD) tools for creating, updating, and reviewing 2D/3D mechanical drawings and layouts.Background in Project Management and coordination, including planning tasks, tracking progress, and communicating effectively with cross-functional teams.Exposure to Research and Development (R&D), with capability to support testing, data analysis, and continuous improvement of processes or products.Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a closely related discipline.Familiarity with industrial safety standards, preventive maintenance practices, and root cause analysis methodologies.Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills, with the ability to work collaboratively on-site in a plant setting.Previous experience in chemical, resin, plastics, or related manufacturing environments is an advantage.
